It's a dragonfly with wings made of flower petals and a rainbow-colored body. When the dragonfly is flying in the sky, which it loves, or decorating its wings with beautiful flower petals; she gets so happy and excited that the rainbow colors on her body start to shine. Yes, it shines in seven colors, just like the rainbow in the sky. This story is about a Rainbow Dragonfly who rides on the back of the pink Dragon Princess and goes on an adventure to a legendary time. She meets lovely friends, and at the end of the story, there is a song about cleaning water. This song will make you feel very gentle. I hope you will read it to the end. I'll tell you a little about what kind of adventure it is. Once upon a time, there was a big, big lake where the water was so dirty that many creatures died. At that time, a dragonfly appeared and cleaned up the water along with many fish and birds living in the lake. The Rainbow Dragonfly wanted to meet the dragonfly who had cleaned the water, so she asked the pink Dragon Princess for help. Then the Dragon Princess said, "If you go to the legendary era, you might meet." The dragon loves everyone's excitement. So she couldn't wait to make the Rainbow Dragonfly's wish come true too. And so begins the adventurous journey to meet that one dragonfly. So, how did the lake creatures and the dragonfly clean the water? Did the Rainbow Dragonfly meet the dragonfly? After reading the story, you may hear the sound of clean water. So let's go on an adventurous journey with the Rainbow Dragonfly! I hope you will share your excitement with the Rainbow Dragonfly. (To everyone who reads my stories) Hi, I'm Uta Noriko, the author of this story. I live in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. In Shiga Prefecture, there is the largest lake in Japan, Lake Biwa. Lake Biwa has formed a very long time ago and is called the Mother Lake because it is the lake that gives birth to all life. The people living in Shiga Prefecture love Lake Biwa very much. It is as huge as the ocean, and anyone who visits Lake Biwa for the first time will be fascinated by its size for a while. When I was a child, Lake Biwa used to be dirty and smelled very bad. Nowadays, it has gradually become cleaner. That's because we have been doing good things for Lake Biwa, such as changing the detergent we use at home and picking up trash together. So I think that we can use clean water today because of these activities of the people of the past. Rather than trying hard to do something special, I hope to do something small that I can do in a fun and unique way for future people. This is one of my unique ways of telling a story or writing a song about the importance of water through a picture book. After reading this story, I would be happy to think about the "water" that is all around you.
